What Is A TUG Ministries?
TUG Ministries was incorporated as a non-profit organization in
the state of Oklahoma in March of 1980. Our ministry verse is 1 Cor.
10:31, “Whether you eat or drink, or whatsoever you do, do all to
the glory of God”.
An extension of the ministry of JDSSMD: Comedians at Large, a
group formed in 1976. JD spent six years entertaining churches and
other groups throughout Oklahoma using about 12 different men
during its run. As a result of this experience, we decided that there
were probably other Christians sitting in churches that had talents
they wanted to share with the body of Christ. Many of these people
had already worn thin on their own church families. We figured we
could help match up personnel with needs of churches. Thus was
born TUG Ministries...Talents Used for God.
TUG Ministries has blessed many groups of people through
securing of goods and personnel. At one point, we gave away around
700 choir robes to churches and schools that wouldn't have been
able to provide them themselves. We have given away music, office
and school supplies, and other goods to churches, schools and
individuals.
- TUG Ministries has always operated on a love offering basis in the
provision of services. Our philoshophy was that God would provide
through larger churches and organizations so that smaller churches
could enjoy some quality personnel.
